Community Projects![]() Heather’s Hope Foundation holds one major fundraiser each year which is our Purple Ribbon 5K Race/Walk around Lake Hollingsworth in Lakeland. We assist our local women’s shelter, Peace River Center by purchasing needed items for them. We also work with Heartland for Children sponsoring a play in our local high schools about teen dating abuse .
We have a spokesperson who is available to speak for various clubs and events. Raising awareness of domestic violence is our mission and raising monies helps us to help our local shelter and present scholarships to deserving graduating seniors in our local high schools. We have distributed domestic violence posters to many business owners for posting with hotline numbers available. We have donated to various victims funds and to organizations such as Lighthouse Ministries. Our heartfelt desire is to be a channel for help for victims and to do all we can to raise awareness of this horrific crime.
